Web optimization is another term for search engine optimization, or SEO. SEO is the gradual process of improving a web page’s ranking within search engine’s like Google, Yahoo! and Bing. A search engine scans a page to determine what the content is and where it should go.
The order, or rank, of a web page is determined by the search engine’s algorithm, who ultimately aims to give people exactly what they’re searching for. Page rank can be improved by improving the various factors search engines use to rank each page. The correct use of keywords, titles, links, and reputation can drastically improve page rank when used ethically.
